DNA Manipulation Session

To kick things off, I would like to announce a special session on DNA manipulation, which I believe to be a promising new direction for microlfuidic research, at the Fifth International Conference in Nanochannels, Microchannels and Minichannels in Puebla, Mexico during June 18-20, 2007. Judging from the previous ICNMM conferences, this one again promises to bring in some of the most active microfluidics and nanofluidics people in bioengineering, biophysics, mechanical engineering and chemical engineering from all over the world. Dr. Jonas Tegenfeldt of Lund, Sweden, has kindly agreed to be the keynote speaker for the DNA sessions and many other lead researchers have also expressed interest in attending the conference. For those of you that have not been to Puebla, it is a beautiful old Spanish town in the Mexican highlands with easy bus connection from the International airport at Mexico city. I hope you would consider attending the conference and submit an abstract to the conference website by the January 6 deadline (please specify it is for the DNA track): www.asmeconferences.org/ICNMM07 I also intend to invite speakers at the sessions to publish their papers in Biomicrofluidics.

Welcome

Welcome to the blog page of Biomicrofluidics. We would like to use this website to foster closer networking among micro-fluidic researchers and users. Informal exchange of opinions, announcement of upcoming conferences/work shops, reactions to a recent publication, requests for information, collaborators and technologies, advertisement for post-doc/internship positions, new funding opportunities etc would all be appropriate activities.
